[세계로컬타임즈 장선영 기자] 응급의료지원차량을 납품하면서 차량 구매가격을 1억7,000만원이나 속여 취득세를 적게 낸 차량특장업체 대표가 경기도의 특별 세무조사에 적발됐다.
25일 경기도에 따르면 취득가격이 2억6,250만원인 현장응급의료지원차량을 9,230만원으로 신고해 취득세로 420만원만을 낸 차량특장업체 대표 이 모씨가 취득세 포탈 등의 혐의로 경찰에 고발됐다. 실제 취득가격을 적용하면 이 씨는 취득세 880만원을 내야 했다.
현장응급의료지원차량은 전국 35개 재난거점병원에만 있는 ‘이동식 진료소’라고 불리는 특수차량이다. 보건복지부는 이들 병원에 차량 구매 보조금을 지원하고 있다.
경기도 조세정의과는 지난 해 말부터 도내 6개 재난거점병원에서 운영 중인 현장응급의료지원차량의 취득세 납부현황을 전수 조사한 결과 이중 4개 병원의 차량취득세가 축소 신고된 사실을 확인했다.
또한 이들 병원 가운데 3개 병원에서 취득세 신고 시 제출된 증명서류가 허위로 작성됐으며, 일부 병원의 차량은 자동차제작증에 기재된 인증업체가 아닌 다른 업체에서 제작된 것을 확인했다.
경기도는 세금 납부 책임이 있는 해당 병원에 가산세를 포함해 약 530만 원의 취득세를 추징하는 한편, 허위로 문서를 조작해 세금을 포탈한 이 씨에 대해서는 지방세기본법 위반(지방세포탈), 자동차관리법위반, 사문서위조, 위조사문서행사, 배임 등으로 고발했다. 이 씨는 현재 검찰수사를 받고 있는 것으로 알려졌다.
경기도 관계자는 “경기도는 전국 지자체 중 유일하게 세금범죄 전담조직을 운영하고 있으며, 앞으로도 지방세관련 범죄에 관해 엄중하게 대처하겠다”고 말했다.
