한국조폐공사는23일 서울 용산구 전쟁기념관 야외공원 형제의 상에서  6.25전쟁 66주년을 맞이하여 "한반도 기념메달"을 출시하였다. 이번에 출시되는 메달은 광복70주년 메달과 더불어 출시한 애국가 기념메달과함께 대한믹국 국민으로서의 정체성을 상기하고자 하는 뜻에서 기획되었으며 더 나아가 우리 국토사랑과 남북분단의66주년의 비극을 돌아보고 한반도 통일을 염원하면서 기획되었다.
