[세계로컬신문 이남규 기자] 세계일보 조사위원 전남 영광군협의회(회장 이남규)가 영광읍 백학리에 신규 사무실을 마련하고 지난 21일 현판식을 개최했다.

영광읍이 내려다보이는 높은 자리에 위치한 새 건물에 사무실을 갖게 된 위원들은 뿌듯함과 기쁨을 감추지 않았다.

특히 UPF 영광군지부장인 김공수 목사의 5년여년의 노력 끝에 준공 및 사용허가서를 취득하면서 사무실로 사용할 수 있게 돼 그 기쁨과 감사함이 크다고 협의회 위원들은 입을 모았다.

협의회 측은 "그동안 열성적인 활동으로 세계일보 조사위원 소임을 다해 오면서 늘 소망이던 사무실이 마련돼 그간 노력한 김 목사께 깊이 감사하다"며 "앞으로도 빛나는 활동을 위해 더욱 노력하겠다"고 밝혔다.

이날 현판식과 함께 월례회도 진행됐다. 세계일보 사시와 사지, 조사위원 실천강령을 위원들이 함께 낭독하며 지역사회를 위한 봉사활동을 더욱 다짐했다.

이후 마련된 저녁식사 자리에는 개인 일정으로 개소식에 참석치 못했던 위원들까지 모두 모여 신규 사무실 개소의 기쁨을 나눴다.
